So authentic are the Cancun Pirate Ships that they were used by the Bahamas Quincentennial Committee to re-enact the landfall of Christopher Columbus at San Salvador.

The ships are named El Galleon and El Bucancero and are 93 foot authentic replicas of 18th century Spanish galleons. They are equipped with full modern day facilities; light and sound system, extensive kitchen facilities and air conditioned dining areas and clean bathrooms. The Captain Hook Pirate Ship Tour departs from Playa Linda, at Km 4.5 of the hotel zone at 7.00pm seven days a week (check in time 6:30pm). Just look for the large observation tower and the bridge that connects the lagoon to the ocean.

Each ship, has a 350 person capacity. The ships then depart in different directions to cruise the bay area between Cancun and Isla Mujeres for the next few hours. The open bar commences as soon as you board the boat and the party begins with crazy pirate antics and games guaranteed to have you laughing all night.

Half way through the night your meal is served before you return to the deck where the party gets into full gear. Just when you least expect it, the other Pirate ship appears right next to the boat. A huge realistic sword fight then ensues between the Pirates of each boat, cheered on by the occupants of each of the pirate ships supporting their own pirates.

After the fight more drinks and of course more partying until you are back at the dock for 10:30 which still leaves you time to head off to a Cancun nightclub if you have any energy left.
